What we do

We perform the acts a devotee would perform in their own Saturday observance if they could reach a temple: the diya lit, til and oil offered, the mantra recited, the name and gotra spoken in the sankalp. It happens at our own centre in India, by our own team, and you receive the recording.

It is not a substitute for going yourself. It is what is available when going yourself is not.

Why the texts are free

The Shani Chalisa, the Aarti, the Dashrath Krit Shani Stotra and the Vajra Panjar Kavach are on this site in full, with no account, no email and no payment. They belong to everyone who recites them.

We publish which recension we follow and where it came from, because devotional texts circulate in genuine variants and a devotee holding a different booklet deserves to know that theirs is not wrong. Where a widely repeated English rendering reverses the sense of a verse, we say so.

What we will not do

We will not frighten you into buying anything. Shani Dev is not a threat to be bought off; he is Karmaphaladata, and the tradition is clear that he cannot be bribed.

We will not promise you an outcome. The Chalisa itself prescribes only two remedies, water at the peepal on his day and the giving of a lamp, and it attaches no guarantee to either.

And we will say plainly that giving to the poor, the aged and those who labour is the remedy the texts return to most often. Nothing we sell replaces what you give with your own hands.
