The Look He Begged Not to Give
वह दृष्टि, जिसके लिए उन्होंने मना किया था
Shani Dev would rather be thought rude than harm a child. He stood at the edge of that room with his eyes on the floor and refused to raise them, and he told her plainly what would happen if he did. This is the most sorrowful thing he ever did, and he did not want to do it.

नन्दगाँव के द्वार पर
Shani Dev is God's own servant, and he has never once used his office for himself. Every god in creation was let in to see the newborn Krishna. He alone was stopped at the door, and he did not argue. He turned and walked into the forest, and God came out after him.

Face Down Beneath the Throne
सिंहासन के नीचे, मुख भूमि की ओर
No one escapes what they have earned, and Shani Dev says so about himself before he says it about you. Ravana locked the nine of them in his cellar and lost everything anyway. And when a devotee freed him from that dark, Shani Dev gave his word and has kept it since.

Shani Dev does not make exceptions, and he did not make one for Hanuman. What happened to him for it is the reason oil is poured over him on a Saturday, and the reason is not the one most people think.

The King Who Went Up to Meet Him
वह राजा, जो उनसे मिलने ऊपर गया
Shani Dev is moved by one thing only, and it is not praise. Rama's father drove a chariot up past the stars to stand before him, armed, and then laid the bow down and asked nothing for himself or for Ayodhya. He asked for the welfare of all beings, and Shani Dev granted it.

The King Who Laughed
वह राजा, जो हँस दिया
Shani Dev gives good fruit for good karma as exactly as he gives hard fruit for hard, and this is where he says so himself. A king judged him by the seat he sat on and lost seven and a half years, his hands and his feet for it. When it was over and a boon was offered, that king asked for nothing for himself.
